March Meeting 2014:

Sunday, March 16, 2014
2:00pm – 5:00pm
Missouri Room Room, Missouri Botanical Garden

This month we will be working with Succulents and celebrating the Irish. Gay has graciously offered to help us plant succulents. We will learn the proper planting medium needed and how to successfully care for them. You will need to bring your own vessel to plant in, an old boot, high heel, or shoe would be fun, or any container with good drainage. If you have an extra boot, etc. please consider sharing with other members. The Hort Society will furnish the plants and soil. You MUST bring something to plant your succulents in if you want to participate in this project.

It was wonderful to see everyone after our long cold winter. Soon the tulips and other spring flowers will be blooming. They’re popping their heads out of the ground so it won’t be long. The St. Louis Horticultural Society is off to a great start. Our meeting was fun, we planted succulents and discussed upcoming activities. Kathy and Rex brought air plants back from Florida for everyone, such a neat surprise! Thanks!! Check out our planters in the photo section.
