At this meeting member Mary led the group to make decoupage pots. Each one was personal and a work of art.  We also welcomed 3 new members!

April 22 and 23, 2016

We had a beautiful supply of plants this year. Some members made hypertufa pots and planted them with interesting succulents. There were adorable planted cup and saucers as well as hand- made decoupage pots.

At this meeting we discussed member t-shirts, upcoming activities and finalized preparations for plant sale.

The St. Louis Horticultural Society had an enjoyable and wonderfully attended party.

Bees! Our November meeting will be about bees! We are pleased to have Jane Sueme and Scott Klein of Isabee’s Beekeeping at our meeting. Jane and Scott are founding members of both the St. Louis Beekeepers Associaton and BeeSpeaksSTL. As many of you know our bees are suffering from a phenomenon known as colony collapse disorder. We need our bees to help pollinate almonds, fruits, vegetables, flowers and just about everything else in between! They will share their knowledge on how to raise bees and honey as well as what we can do to help them. This will be a very informative meeting!
Please feel free to invite friends, family or any others interested in bees for this meeting!
